WIP Wednesday

Well, I wish I could tell you it's MY WIP, but it isn't. Remember I told you about the changes coming up for me in regards to The Amazing Jo-Jo and now keeping his little brother, "Idgy"? Well, he hasn't started yet. But my friend Carrie took a part time job during the morning hours. She keeps a daycare that I help out with from time to time. The kids she keeps are out of school for the summer, so the GIRLS are at my house. I'm so happy that the estrogen level is about to go up, I could shout. The eldest I'll call Jeronimo and her little sister, Kemo Sabe. My boys certainly have enjoyed having them here. The Pickle and Rock Star are being led around with an invisible ring in their nose. It's been awhile since I've seen that.
Jeronimo wants to learn to quilt, so I've been teaching her. She made this block by herself. You might recognize the fabric, it's scraps from the bug jar quilt. I kinda feel like the blind leading the blind, since I've never thought of myself as a teacher. But she is a real quick study! The Kemo Sabe is going to get into it as well.

How fun to have girls in the house! Looks like you are a great teacher. By the way, I got my fat quarters! Thanks so much! They are great.

It would be great to have a girl to share some time with here in my house. I wonder when my niece is born later this month when she will be ready to sew and craft. Hum may in 3 - 4 years?

You are a great teacher. The Idgy will be coming soon. He is really a cutie and starting to almost laugh. GK#3 seems to be adapting to him now. I guess you will be having him for a few hours on Saturday.

Hope to see you soon.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I was excited to see you are from Ky. My mom is from there and I still have a bunch of relatives (kin, lol!) there.

Beth, that is FABULOUS that you have a willing student. Of COURSE you are a teacher. You gotta get 'em while they're young and even if she doesn't stick with it now, she will always remember learning how--and may take it up at 55 like I did!
